Work Location: Eliwana / Flying Fish, Pilbara region, Western Australia, on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people, forming part of Fortescue's Western Hub alongside Solomon mine.
Roster: Commencing as 4D/3R for the majority of 2024 and transitioning to 8D6R - (Day) FIFO Ex Perth/Busselton.

Role Overview: As a Mobile Maintenance Coordinator, you will be a key player reporting to the department superintendent. Your primary focus will be to support front-line leaders by orchestrating, forecasting, auditing, and managing external engagements. This pivotal role involves spearheading the establishment of Maintenance teams in new operational areas at Eliwana and Flying Fish, enabling the integration of cutting-edge Autonomous Road Train technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and Planning: Collaborate with front-line leaders to introduce and support new teams across diverse work areas.
- Safety and Innovation: Drive initiatives to eliminate live work and champion the integration of Future State Maintenance (FMS) and Autonomy systems in partnership with on-site teams.
- Team Management: Lead a team of OEM specialists and specialist labor, adapting to innovative technologies crucial to Fortescue's Green Fleet transition.
- Adaptability and Learning: Demonstrate a proactive willingness to learn new skills, embracing Fortescue's green innovative technologies and decarbonization plans.
- Trade Qualification: Preference for candidates with SCANIA Road Train Exposure.
- Experience: Demonstrated expertise in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, oversight of safe maintenance activities, robust leadership, and adept contractor management.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Anaplan, and Word, coupled with exceptional stakeholder management, written, and oral communication skills.
