AddressThe successful candidates will be self motivated and have the ability to perform at high standards with minimal supervision. You will need to have proven experience within the mining industry. The successful applicant will ideally have experience working with a Geology team. Any environmental experience would be highly desirable.
Selection Criterion
- Can do attitude with a positive outlook;
- Backhoe license desirable
- Previous experience in Field Assistant roles on exploration sites will be viewed favourably;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a team;
- Enjoy working outdoors and a willingness to work in remote locations;
- Strong focus upon Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture essential; and
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines;
- Competent 4WD and C class manual drivers license essential
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting geologists in various field and office activities;
- Supporting drilling programs;
- Working with and supervising contractors;
- Sample management;
- Data entry and basic report writing;
- Participation in toolbox and safety meetings;
- Report all safety, hazards and incidents to supervising geologists;
- Communicate effectively with site crews;
- General vehicle operation and maintenance;
- Maintain a safe and respectful work environment for you and your co-workers.
This position is based on an attractive 15 on 13 off FIFO roster. Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
