Very rare opportunity for a Field Automation Engineer to work for a market leading business specializing in the construction of machinery and automated lines for packing, palletizing and handling for manufacturing and logistics companies. Headquartered in Spain, they design, develop and produce customized solutions and turnkey projects worldwide.

Role Objective
To apply the design and do the implementation and start-up of the assigned projects and its automation related tasks, always according to the Company guidelines and following
the indications established by the Project Manager. Responsible for machinery installation, calibration and full packing and palletizing projects start-up and delivery. .
The site will be assessed in terms of responsibility and contribution within the company.
Key Duties:
- All related automation tasks: PLC programming ladder and structured text of main PLCs on the market: Rockwell, Siemens and B&R.
- All relate automation tasks: communication bus, VFD's programming, network managed switches, etc.
- Upstream and downstream interlocks set-up to third party equipment
- Integration of automation peripherals: labelers, checkweighers, barcode readers, vision cameras,
- Electrical schematics interpretation and supervision of electrical tasks
- Supervision and coordination activities of contractors to own cooperative Project manager and customer's supervisors/managers.
- Following the Project timings and reporting to Project Managers
- Start-up of Projects from very beginning in company's headquarters floor before final start-up and commissioning at customers' floor.
- Documentation of equipment and Projects
- Training to final operators and supervisors about the equipment.
- Service existing own equipment on the field: identify errors/failures and determine the root cause of them and determine actions to prevent them from getting repeated.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years in a similar role in manufacturing/warehousing/logistics within a fast-moving environment.
- Tertiary education in Engineering: Automation, Electronics or Industrial
- Extensive experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs.
- PLC programming in structured text language and ladder language.
- Experience with C++ programming is preferred.
- Experience with Java Script and Servo Motors is preferred.
- Experience in robotics and/or automation is mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of industrial project commissioning.
- Excellent ability to build productive professional relationships.
Salary and Work Rights
$125K - $135K + 11.5% Super + up to $3000 in relocation expense (one time)
