About the role
Thiess Mount Arthur South, located just outside of Muswellbrook, have an exciting opportunity for you to expand your skills and grow with in a high performing team as a Field Maintenance Leading Hand - Fitter.
Working a lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5 12.5 hour days, nights and weekend work, reporting to the Field Maintenance Supervisor you will be part of a team that is committed to developing our people.
Your responsibilities will include:
Strong safety focus and high attention to detail, ensuring Field Maintenance activities comply with site safety processes.
Lead a maintenance crew following directives of managers and supervisors.
Coach and mentor crew members to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
Proven ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high levels of initiative.
Ensure mobile plant equipment defects are completed within an acceptable timeframe.
Provide technical information to staff and operations personnel.
Source and requisition parts and / or equipment requirements through the appropriate manuals or publications using the correct ordering procedure.
Verify the implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
About you
Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or equivalent
At least 5 years mining experience with exposure to leading or supervision of mobile maintenance HD Fitters
Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
You will also need to always possess a high regard and practice of health and safety
Mining Supervisory training will be highly regarded
