The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.
About the Position
Our Engineering Operations team provides and maintains infrastructure across the City to enhance and enable a high quality of urban life for residents. The Field Officer Construction contributes to this by assisting the technical officer construction with the identification planning, coordination and delivery of the City’s capital works program with a key focus on the on-site supervision and monitoring of contractors and suppliers undertaking these Construction works and/or delivery of materials for the city’s in-house works or contracted out works.
Key Responsibilities
The City is currently seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Field Officer Construction to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. The recommended candidate will rely on their knowledge and expertise to undertake quality and compliance inspections, monitor progress and oversee contractors to ensure the successful and timely delivery of works.

About You
In addition, to be considered for this role, you’ll ideally possess the following skills and/or qualifications:
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management Accreditation
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Experience in road resurfacing / capital works Projects.
- Experience in the supervision/management of contractors and team members

This permanent full-time position is a Level 6 Inside Workforce Agreement position attracts a salary range of $82,652.26 – $87,002.29 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation and fantastic benefits.
