About the role
Due to ongoing growth of our global Smart Transport business, we are seeking Field Services Engineers to join our Smart Transport team in Canberra. In this role you will perform hardware installations and repairs on Ticketing and Communication equipment within agreed service levels as required by projects, preventative maintenance schedules and client requests.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform preventative & reactive maintenance in the field.
- Perform repairs and testing in repair center workshop.
- Build working relationships with customer staff and contractors.
- Perform regular stock takes of assets and inventory.
- Help maintain repair manuals and work instructions.
About you
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in similar role, including maintenance of electromechanical and electronic devices.
- Ability and willingness to work shifts within 6am-7pm timeframe during business days.
- Ability to understand underlying solutions on all applicable technologies provided to current and upcoming clients.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety procedures and safe work practices
- Computer literate, experience using ticket logging and recording.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- A valid Australian Driver’s License
- A standard level of fitness in order to walk from and around locations as required.
- TAFE Certificate III Electronics and Communications or equivalent industry experience
