JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with a solid background in maintenance mining. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, system checks, and statutory tests to ensure the control system's effectiveness and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance practices in a mining environment and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support drill controllers at operational sites.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the Autonomous Drill System (ADS).
- Drive ADS performance.
- Provide After-Hours Breakdown Support as needed.
- Standardize ADS practices across sites.
- Collaborate with specialists for system improvements.
- Coach employees on ADS operation.
- Manage software updates and backups.
- Maintain obsolescence schedule.
- Update maintenance tasks and system checks.
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Engage with on-site technicians for knowledge sharing and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Engineering degree or trade qualification
- Mine site experience and understanding of mining operations
- Auto-electrical experience and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults and PLC systems
- Understanding of mobile-plant maintenance
- Deliver accurate documentation and technical reports
- Effective communication in client-facing situations
