Southern Cross Tractors has a great deal more to offer than just being your one stop shop for New Holland Tractors. From our two convenient locations in Mackay and Proserpine, we can also supply Construction Equipment, Hay Making Equipment, Farm Machinery, Lawn Care, as well as Used Tractors and other Machinery.
We are seeking multiple full-time trade qualified Diesel Fitter / Tractor Mechanics for an immediate start on servicing and maintenance of New Holland tractors and our expanded machinery range in Mackay and up to Proserpine and surrounds.
Your strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and positive attitude will contribute to our continued success.
The position will include (but not limited to) the following:
- Undertake appropriate measures to ensure all service and maintenance records are maintained
- Undertake scheduled maintenance and repairs of our Customers New Holland Tractors and all our other ancillary equipment
- Ensure all work carried out is undertaken to the highest quality standard and carried out safely
- Servicing and maintenance as per applicable schedules
- Work with departmental and interdepartmental staff in a pleasant and constructive manner
- Source and order spare parts and maintain appropriate records as required to ensure smooth work flow of scheduled servicing and maintenance
The candidate must possess the following:
- Trade qualified
- New Holland, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson experience desirable
- High level of communication skills
- Ability to interpret parts catalogues and workshop manuals
- Prior experience in a similar role with field experience and customer interaction
- Computer literate
- Tractor experience highly regarded
- Safe work ethic and attitude
- A common sense approach to problem solving
- Willingness to improve, add and share knowledge
- Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative
- Drivers Licence and Forklift ticket essential
