Your new role:
As the Field Service Representative – Maintenance (FSR-M) you will provide repair and maintenance expertise to ensure the Commonwealth-owned Mission Systems maintain a high vehicle availability for daily tasking by Army units.
The work of the FSR-M may be conducted at the resident Army Unit, at relevant contractor external supplier locations or in the field (Army exercise or Operations). The FSR-M may also provide on-the-job Training to Army Operator and Maintenance Personnel in the relevant units or locations.
As an FSR-M you will be focussed on electrical/electronic and/or mechanical trades located near Puckapunyal or Townsville.
Your primary areas of responsibility:
- Serve as the POC for technical issues related to Maintenance Support.
- Liaise with the (CoA) Systems Program Office (SPO) engineers and HDA engineers on technical matters related to the fleets.
- Receive engineering/technical tasks.
- Conduct Maintenance Engineering level analysis to establish task details.
- Provide technical and administrative support to resolve problems related to maintenance, training, and product quality.
- Scheduled maintenance and reporting status to management organisations.
About you
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Several years’ experience working in the Australian Defence Force or similar industrial environment leading maintenance and repair processes and procedures.
- Maintenance experience working with heavy vehicles and/or tracked machinery.
- Experience working within environments with high Safety-First culture and ensuring the safety of all personnel working in and around ADF vehicles.
- Supervised and assessed technical trades on the job.
- Relevant Technical Trade skills and qualifications in any of the following fields:
- Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with experience in tracked equipment
- Electronics Technician,
