About the role
We are extremely excited to announce a new vacancy for a Field Trainer to be based in Queensland to support our North Surface Coal Team.
Operating on a 7/7 roster, the Field Trainer will travel to various Orica sites within Queensland's Bowen Basin, conducting various methods of Orica operational and safety training and issuing statements of attainment to all assessed and applicable Orica and client personnel.
Given the broad geographical locations of these sites, a moderate to high level of travel is expected of the successful candidate.
What you will be doing
- Managing the site based component of Orica's obligations as a Registered Training Organisation(RTO);
- Conducting group, classroom and 1-on-1 training sessions with a range of stakeholders, both client and Orica;
- Ensuring training is completed in line with National Standards, operational safety and group standards governance;
- Clearly communicating training plans and schedules with Orica Site Managers to cascade to Orica employees;
- Regularly updating relevant compliance reporting databases and spreadsheets;
- Continually auditing employee training plans to ensure they comply with minimum standards
- Safety will be your number one priority, always;
- An energetic, engaging & positive personality with clear verbal and written communication;
- Knowledge of Orica operations, plant, machinery, products and services is advantageous;
- Experience of working in field support environment;
- A heavy rigid driving license would be advantageous;
- Holds a TAE40116 or ability to obtain one;
- Experience in a training related or training delivery role;
- Relevant training qualifications for QLD;
- Willingness to regularly travel, often to remote or internal locations.
