Pindari WA is currently seeking enthusiastic, experienced FIFO Mine Site Cleaning Supervisors to oversee our teams at various Rio Tinto sites throughout the Pilbara region. This position reports to the Site Services Superintendent, and works with, supports, and supervises cleaning teams, inspects equipment, tools of trade and facilities to conform to the required standards.
The role of Cleaning Supervisor is to support and supervise cleaning teams, inspect equipment, tools of trade and facilities to conform to the required standards. While on-site you may help with training, performance management, productivity, compliance to HSEQ processes and procedures, administration and reporting on contract deliverables including resolution of site queries and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective supervision and performance management of multiple cleaning teams across multiple sites in accordance with schedules and Pindari policies and procedures.
- Driving customer service, health, safety, environment and quality KPIs as well as compliance to company, site and contract requirements.
- Assist with budgets, financial planning and financial controls to achieve business targets and identify areas of improvement through efficiencies, innovations and new opportunities.
- In consultation with the Superintendent, implement continuous improvement initiatives, standards, policies and procedures to meet client, legislation and business expectations.
- Prepare and review a range of reports for clients and management within set timeframes, templates and deadlines.
- Actively work as part of the cleaning team, utilising a range of industrial-grade cleaning equipment and machinery including sweepers, hand held blowers, vacuum cleaners and polishers.
Experience required:
- Demonstrated experience in a Supervisory/Management role overseeing diverse teams.
- Experience in cleaning services in a remote environment; mine site and operational site cleaning.
- Strong leadership skills, understanding of budgets, rosters, schedules, safety and front-line management of staff.
- Competent in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experienced in incident management and reporting.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate between clients, other supervisors, work crews and sub-contractors.
- Competent computer literacy and written skills.
- Experience working with Rio Tinto and/or BHPBIO in the Pilbara Resource Sector is highly desirable
- Experience and knowledge of strip and sealing would be highly advantageous.
Essential Requirements
- Current Western Australian Drivers Licence (no exemption or probationary licences)
- Full Working Rights in Australia
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check including a drug and alcohol screen.
