Dogs Victoria (Victorian Canine Association) is the peak body representing owners and breeders of purebred dogs in Victoria and has a history dating back to 1877 and represents over 8,000 members and 250 individual clubs. Dogs Victoria, together with our members deliver over 1000 events across Victoria offering many member services to support the industry.
Dogs Victoria is dedicated to promoting ethical and sustainable breeding and preservation of purebred dogs, maintaining the integrity of the registry, the advancement of all dog sports for all dogs and advocates for our members and the canine community.
About the Opportunity
Based in the Dogs Victoria registration office in Skye, this role provides an opportunity to work within the Finance team which is responsible for all finance, accounting and related administration processes. This role reports to the Finance Coordinator.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Creating invoices and purchase orders in XERO
- Processing bills in Xero and coordinating approvals
- Reconciliation of bank transactions
- Payment receiving processing
- Attending to email inbox daily
- Attending to telephone queries
- Compiling and maintaining information and documentation for affiliates and judges and reporting as required
- Collaborate with other teams
- Filing and ad-hoc administrative duties as required
Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate
- Experience with XERO
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong organisation skills
- Keen eye for details
