We are passionate about what we do, and we are proud of who we are.An overview of our role:Reporting to the Finance Manager - NSW, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for coordinating reports, general ledger management, and providing analytical support that provide key insights on the financial performance of a business unit. This position will work on BAU and preparing/managing the budget and forecasting process, reporting and analysis and understanding the financial drivers of the business.More specifically, your position is responsible for:
- Assist in detailed performance analysis on the operations of the business, particularly on the costs and budget releases.
- Compile and review accounting and other data required for monthly management reporting,
- Perform all preparatory works for monthly business unit reviews and reporting.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with month end processes, including general ledger management and reporting.
- Prepare and support with budgeting, project accounting and cost Centre reporting.
- Work with Finance Manager to keep operating expenses under control.
- Analyse labour and fleet rates quarterly to manage unrecovered labour.
- Provide assistance to operational stakeholders with finance queries.
- Proactively manage Zinfra Service contracts under the guidance and direction of the Finance Manager.
- Develop understanding of functional drivers that have the greatest impact on EBIT and ROA of the Business Unit
- Demonstrated ability to combine internal and external data to provide insights.
- A finance professional with demonstrated strength in technical accounting skills, including accrual accounting
- Strong Excel, data analysis, modelling and problem-solving skills
- A curious and challenger mindset
- A motivated individual who approaches their work with a sense of pride and ownership
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/Finance.
- CPA / CA qualified.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong understanding of SAP and BI (Business Objects, Power BI and BPC)
