An excellent opportunity to join a listed Australian Business. Situated in Melbourne’s CBD, this outfit is currently looking to recruit a qualified Finance Analyst to support the Finance Manager during a busy period but also offering possible Sponsorship if you're on a Working Holiday Visa.
The Opportunity
This role offers an exciting opportunity to partner with the business, providing financial support, enhancing decision-making, and optimising outcomes on business issues. You will play a crucial role in improving the company's financial policies, procedures, and reports to ensure compliance with franchise and shareholder reporting requirements.
Summary:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports – Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Management reports
- Detailed variance analysis with supporting commentary
- Completing the month end close and reviewing P&L for accuracy and completeness.
- Support internal stakeholders with financial performance analytics and insights to enable the leadership team to deliver on strategic goals.
- Assisting with managing the local budgeting and mid monthly forecasting processes, strong understanding of Standard Costs.
- Complete Inventory analysis, journals and reviews, with involvement in stock count processes
Key Requirements
- Qualified Accounting degree – CA or CPA (or similar)
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated accounting experience
- Experience with financial management, financial reporting systems, management information systems, financial modelling
- Ability to prepare and collate financial information
- Familiarity with computer-based systems
- Experience in financial management services within a complex service delivery organisation
- Demonstrated ability in working with a team and supporting the overall objectives set
