About the RoleWe are looking for a Finance and Administration Team Leader to join our fun and supportive team at Glen Eira Leisure (GEL). GEL is a part of Glen Eira City Council and owns and operates three industry leading aquatic and recreation facilities including the premier Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC).
The Finance and Administration Team Leader plays a crucial role within our Customer Service and Business team, responsible for providing exceptional financial and administrative support and leading a diverse team of Administration Officers.
Join us in our mission to provide outstanding service to improve the health and wellbeing to all ages and members of the community.
Key responsibilities include:
Direct debit management, income reconciliation, and purchase-ordering systems for GEL.
Support and guide a team of Administration Officers to provide accurate and customer centric account support and Administration for membership.
Collaboration with external financial contractors alongside the Council's Finance Team to ensure financial compliance and accuracy.
About youTo be successful in the role, you will need to possess a customer focused approach, have an understanding of financial management and strong leadership skills to motivate and support the Administration Team.
Your high attention to detail and aptitude for problem solving will provide improvements to the member experience and internal administration processes.
You will also be a positive team player and a strong understanding of administration software (Perfect Gym and Microsoft Suite packages) is desirable.
The successful candidate must have a current Provide First Aid and CPR qualification or be willing to obtain prior to commencement.
