The opportunity
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be supporting the Head of Business Performance & Insights to challenge the status quo. You will provide proactive insights to drive sound decision making, budgeting, forecasting, business analysis and ensuring projects and business initiatives are adding value to the member. Your key responsibilities include:
- Management Information to ensure BUs are best positioned to achieve their planned financial outcomes
- Organisational budget and forecasting including the regular preparation of a 3-year rolling and driver based financial forecast.
- Supporting and ensuring that there is adequate challenge of financial plans (budgets & forecasting)
- Engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation and presenting insights that support decision making at this level.
- Building a trusted relationship with relevant stakeholders within each BU
- Owning the Consolidated Management Reporting processes (including monthly ELT reports, forecast, and budget)
About you
We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
- Proven analytical and interpretive skills of accounting principles and regulatory requirements, along with problem solving capabilities
- A challenging mindset to create a vision and develop support across Finance and the broader business
- An eye to detail and ability to see a big picture and facilitate others to work for change
- Ability to work with others and prioritise
- Clear ability to solve problems, bringing different perspectives together to get the best outcome.
- Strong and demonstrated relationship skills to bring Finance and the relevant BU team along the path using data and driving business insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally
- Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills to drive desired outcomes
- Always striving for continuous improvement
- Experience working within a finance function and partnering with business units/stakeholders.
- CA, CPA qualifications and accounting/ business degrees.
- Knowledge of superannuation industry beneficial.
