About the Opportunity
This role is a 6 month contract based opportunity with a high chance of renewal. A flexible, hybrid work environment ensures a great work-life balance - this is a Geelong based position and requires some time spent in office. This is a full time position open to Australian Citizens only.
About the Team
The Agency Budget and Finance Controls Branch is responsible for the financial management of the Agency, and provides insightful financial reporting to enable strategic decision making.
Key accountabilities include producing audited annual financial statements, the Annual Report, budgets, monthly financial reports and forecasts. The branch manages the maintenance and development of finance systems, analysing financial performance, and providing financial advice to support decision making and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. They provide financial reports and advice to support the business manage its group, division and branch level budgets.
Responsibilities of the Role
Some of the requirements of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Maintain project work-break down (WBS) structure and governance process
- Produce monthly project reporting pack and associated analysis
- Review and update project budgets, actuals and forecast, including workforce and supplier
- Regular engagement with project/program leads on project spending/forecast and provide financial insights
- Ensure consistent project coding and financial reporting at project levels
- Collaborate with other enabling areas, such as HR, ICT and Strategy to facilitate project delivery
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship
- Familiar with project reporting concept
- Proficient in using SAP system
