About The Graduate and Apprenticeship Program

We offer a 6-month graduate and apprenticeship program that offers you the chance to gain hands-on experience, work alongside industry experts through mentorship, and make a meaningful difference in the world. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of end of year financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Support financial projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and operational efficiency
• Assist with the monthly management and board reporting including journals, adjustments, reconciliations
• Provide financial analysis to ensure the accurate recording of costs and provision of useful information for strategic decision-making
• Assist with the preparation of year-end journals, adjustments, and reconciliations
• Involvement with external auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied to LMS’ financials and resolve queries
• Assist with tax compliance for Australia, New Zealand, and USA
• Involvement with project and fixed asset reporting and forecasts, including liaising with other Groups to ensure appropriate information is received
• Assist with Joint venture accounting for LMS’ multiple JV’s
• Assist with identifying and implementing automation / process improvements to continue to modernise the finance function
• Liaise with other Groups in the business to gain a broader understanding of the LMS business model

Eligibility:

To be successful in being considered for the position you will need to: 

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce and/or Accounting, either completed or in the final year of study.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Enthusiasm for sustainable practices and a genuine interest in the energy sector
• Adaptability and a desire to learn and develop in a growth industry
• Internship or relevant work experience is advantageous
• Australian Drivers Licence
