About The Graduate and Apprenticeship Program

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of end of year financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Support financial projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and operational efficiency
- Assist with the monthly management and board reporting including journals, adjustments, reconciliations
- Provide financial analysis to ensure the accurate recording of costs and provision of useful information for strategic decision-making
- Assist with the preparation of year-end journals, adjustments, and reconciliations
- Involvement with external auditors to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is applied to LMS’ financials and resolve queries
- Assist with tax compliance for Australia, New Zealand, and USA
- Involvement with project and fixed asset reporting and forecasts, including liaising with other Groups to ensure appropriate information is received
- Assist with Joint venture accounting for LMS’ multiple JV’s
- Assist with identifying and implementing automation / process improvements to continue to modernise the finance function
- Liaise with other Groups in the business to gain a broader understanding of the LMS business model
Eligibility:
To be successful in being considered for the position you will need to:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce and/or Accounting, either completed or in the final year of study.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Enthusiasm for sustainable practices and a genuine interest in the energy sector
- Adaptability and a desire to learn and develop in a growth industry
- Internship or relevant work experience is advantageous
- Australian Drivers Licence
