The Role
As a Finance Manager within the Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation (AGO), your role will be critical for enabling AGO to deliver our mission and cutting-edge capabilities. You will be leading the Finance team within AGO's Business Enterprise Contracting & Procurement Directorate (BECP), which is responsible for:
- Delivering all aspects of AGO's fiscal responsibilities.
- Providing financial policy advice and guidance to AGO senior management and personnel.
- Undertaking simple procurements to enable whole of organisation operation.
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of the Finance team, including people management, planning, setting priorities and managing workloads. You will be responsible for the coordination, management and performance reporting of AGO's budget, which will require strong liaison with key stakeholders across the organisation. You will also provide frank and clear financial advice to AGO's Senior Executive as an integral input to strategic decision making.
About our Team
The Business Enterprise Contracting & Procurement (BECP) Directorate is a critical enabler for delivering the AGO mission and is held in high regard by AGO leadership. It consists of three teams: Contracts & Procurement; Panel & Deeds; and Finance. BECP is a busy directorate that works collaboratively across AGO to deliver priority outcomes for the organisation.
