Finance Manager

Commercial Marine Group (CMG) is a marine civil construction/project management company located in Murarrie, Brisbane. The company specialises in marine and underwater construction activities such as pile remediation, subsea inspection and maintenance, salvage and related engineering services.

CMG requires an experienced Finance Manager to manage the financial functions and obligations of this rapidly growing company. As well as managing the day to day financial activities, you will be involved in reporting, liaising with suppliers and clients on terms and invoices, and working closely with Project Managers on project budgets and claims.

Required Qualifications

• An AQF Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); or
• Relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

Required Experience

• Relevant experience in an accounting/financial management role in the construction/project management industry is essential.
• Experience in managing project budgets and claims.
• Experiece in dealing with supplier payments and client invoicing.
• Experience with Xero, including payroll.
• Experience with implementing internal financial systems for receipting and purchase orders.
• Experience in providing financial reports to Senior Management, and assist with business forecasting.

Flexibility

This position could be suited to an applicant working school hours only, five days a week. Other flexible working arrangements can be discussed with candidates at an interview. 

Location

CMG's office is located in Paringa Road, Murarrie. Candidates should have their own reliable transport as public transport is not an option at this location. In saying that, we are 5 minutes off the Murarrie/Port of Brisbane exit off the Gateway Bridge and have free, onsite parking.
