How will I help?The role is a business partnering role focused on P&L management, as well as business performance driver analysis, covering month end, forecasting, target setting, ASX half-year/year end, productivity, and ad-hoc reporting. This will include understanding the risks and opportunities within the Small Business and SME areas and more broadly across CBCE, Consumer & Business and from this provide trusted advice to support the business in achieving its goals.Reporting directly to the Director and working closing with other Finance Directors, Senior Managers and Senior Analysts, the Manager is responsible for producing accurate monthly reporting in an efficient manner and providing insights that lead to actionable advice for our business partners. The role is primarily set up to support the business and Head of Finance in monthly reporting, productivity, forecast and target setting, with the majority of monthly journal processing and stat reporting/financial control functions performed by external offshore and shared services Finance teams. In addition, a large portion of the role involves ad-hoc analysis on the performance of CBCE Business Distribution (SME and Small Business) as well as engagement with key stakeholders in the LOB (Business and Finance).
Some of your responsibilities will include:- Support the Director to meet the management reporting requirements of Group, Consumer Division, and the Consumer & Small Business Customer Engagement business.
- Partner with and build strong relationships with senior finance stakeholders to successfully quantify, deliver and track initiatives critical to productivity, expense management and ongoing compliance. Ensure the business remains strong, productive, efficient and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring the integrity of the monthly financial results and raising management accounting journals as necessary to achieve the same.
- Produce timely, accurate and insightful monthly management reports that clearly align financial performance results against targets and forecast incorporating key business drivers and productivity, highlighting risks and opportunities. Reports include internally published financial results and ASX reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis on the financial performance of CBCE Business, understanding the relative performance to industry peers and the impacts of the changing commercial and legislative landscape.
- Prepare and implement your development plan as agreed with your people leader to expand your professional and personal capability and critical experiences.
- Proactively look for opportunities to participate in team / Consumer & Business division Finance / Westpac Group Finance and Consumer & Small Business Customer Engagement business team building and networking initiatives.

What do I need?- Tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline.
- Professional qualifications desirable - CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent.
- Demonstrated background in working with others to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated specialist analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders / clients to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Ability to integrate into business and finance projects and be relied upon as a subject matter expert.
