About the position:
- Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the day to day management and workflow of the Finance team (three other staff)
- Prepare and review of monthly financial statements and other reporting requirements, including reserve movement, for an industry superannuation fund and long service leave fund
- Prepare annual statutory accounts which will include working closely with the CFO, trustee, internal audit and external audit providers
- Prepare and review APRA quarterly and annual lodgement including workpapers and trustee staff liaison
- Review and assist in the preparation of bank and all member reconciliations across the general ledger and fund administration system
- Preparation of Investment reconciliations compared to custodian reports
- Liaise with custodians on all aspects of investment related issues and amounts.
- Project management with the CFO and Finance Team on various projects
- Prepare and review tax reconciliations including BAS, GST and monthly tax positions
- Prepare any other fund accounting-related reports when required
- Liaise with the building manager and maintain office lease arrangements
- Maintain Finance manual and update procedures and processes where appropriate
- Any other tasks as directed by the CFO and/or EGM
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be CPA qualified (or equivalent) with 5 plus years working in fund accounting and will have experience with the strict APRA lodgement requirements.

Remuneration:
Range: $120-130K to be negotiated with the successful candidate based on skills and experience
