Summary:
The Finance Manager is a senior management position responsible for overseeing the financial operations and budgeting for our organisation. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of finance principles, experience in financial management within the NDIS sector, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to support the organization's strategic goals.
- Manage the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain and oversee compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze financial results, providing recommendations to management for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including long-term forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and executive management, including financial statements, working capital analysis, and cash flow projections.
- Manage relationships with external parties, including NDIS, banks, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and other financial institutions.
- Assess and identify risks in the company's financial operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and practices to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance, accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, planning, and forecasting processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.
- Experience working in a public company environment and the NDIS.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
