Your future at the RIC:
As the Finance Manager you will lead a small team responsible for managing RIC’s finance functions.
What you will do:
- preparing financial statements and budget documents i.e. Portfolio Budget Statements (PBS) and Portfolio Additional Estimates Statements (PAES)
- co-ordinating and managing the annual financial statements audit with the ANAO
- participating in other internal and external audits that touch on financial aspects of RIC
- managing RIC’s FMIS (Technology One), ensuring that Technology One meets the security requirements of RIC. That the FMIS is fit for purpose i.e. able to meet all government reporting requirements
- Developing and managing a high level of stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, particularly with RIC’s financial relationship with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)
- overseeing/preparing taxation returns (including Business Activity Statements, FBT, PAYG and TPAR) and providing advice on tax issues as they arise
- providing advice on procurement activity - consistent with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Manage RIC’s backend loan management system (Finacle) and its interaction with the loan accounts
- contributing to the development and implementation of strategic and operational plan
- providing financial advice, including advice to the Executive and Board
- Managing, co-ordinating and monitoring the work activities, priorities and outcomes of the Finance Officers
- Building the capability of the finance officers through coaching, mentoring, providing performance feedback, conflict resolution and encouraging career development providing technical advice, guidance, support and mentoring

- Salary range $124,158 - $146,068 per annum + superannuation
- To deliver a first-class customer experience, you will have a high-level understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and experience in:
- Australian Government financial and Budget process, procedures and legislation
- Australian Government procurement processes
- Supervising staff providing technical expertise in all areas of financial management
- Relevant financial/accounting tertiary qualifications
- CPA/CA qualifications desirable
