Position:
The Finance Manager is an integral part of the overall finance team, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The Finance Manager will assist in the provision of accurate data for the monitoring or establishment of Company budget. The Finance Manager must ensure all day to day financial tasks are completed and reported to the CFO as well as assisting in improving business operations.
Key Task and Duties:
- Assist CFO with monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and reporting
- Complete monthly Journals including accruals, on-cost adjustments, and Job cost adjustments
- Maintain financial reporting calendar & manage monthly reporting cycle checklist
- Assisting with year-end audit compliance and statutory reporting
- Oversee all Accounts Receivable processes & monthly progress claims
- Produce Progress claim reports by state, including variance reporting
- Complete and review all Balance sheet reconciliations and provide to CFO for final review. Must ensure integrity of all balance sheet accounts for all entities
- Bank Reconciliations to be completed daily to and ensure that no reconciling items are outstanding at the time of accounts being rolled
- Reconcile all intercompany transactions and process Monthly service claims between entities
- Lodge and pay weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Tax obligations including PAYG, Payroll tax, IAS and BAS ensuring deadlines are met and penalties are avoided
- Reviewing current financial procedures suggesting and implementing new ideas to improve productivity and reduce financial operational risks.
