The Senior Ecommerce Product Manager has direct accountability for the planning and execution for Home Internet Consumer and Business segments across eCommerce experiences and outcomes at Optus. The purpose of the eCommerce Chapter is to drive standard methodology eCommerce experiences across Digital and Traditional channels to enable the success of the Agile organization. The eCommerce vision is to build lasting customer connections for all Australians anywhere, anytime from any device.
 

Your day in the life at Optus
 

  • To optimize & drive growth in sales and revenue mix across Optus Online Sales channels (30% total business) by being accountable for the sales flow from research, conversion, operations and activation.
  • Working with other Product Managers to find opportunities and benefits for new strategic digital initiatives that will make up the overall digital product development
  • Understand customer behaviour and drive consistent and compelling sales and research experiences that enable and entice customers to purchase Home Internet online (90% of customers research online before purchasing in other sales channels).
  • Understanding gaps in performance and implementing mitigation strategies to rectify these gaps.
  • Have an owner’s mentality on all eCommerce experiences at Optus, including but not limited to OCA, Webchat, and Shop in App, for Mobile.
  • Work alongside digital marketing and CVM teams to drive the right quality and mix of demand to meet growth ambitions and cost efficiency.
  • Act as a crucial link between the Home Internet Squad and non-Agile broader business units, communicating requirements, dependencies, impacts and recommendations to delivering a best-in-class digital and Omni-channel Connected Devices sales experience for our customer.
     

Your skills to pay the bills
 

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager in eCommerce channel focussing on new feature ideation, planning , development and optimisations 5-10 years of Professional experience in a mid-level leadership role
  • Customer focused with a strong drive for achieving sales, building and maintaining effective relationships with key business partners and customers.
  •  Innovative and creative problem solver, with strong analytical abilities, personable and approachable communication style with highly skilled presentation abilities.
  • Strong skills in eCommerce practices, and ability to co-ordinate and deliver on sales campaigns across traditional and digital channels (retail, digital, app, responsive)
