About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to manage a small team of finance professionals responsible for financial and management accounting for Oliver Hume and its controlled entities including Accounts Payable and Receivable. This is a 6 month backfill position to cover our current Finance Manager, who is charged with a new finance system implementation.
Some duties will include:
- Responsible for the generation of accurate and timely internal financial reporting at both divisional and Group level; this includes monthly Group management reporting, weekly sales reports, GP% reports and other regular reporting.
- Responsible for ensuring EOM process (5 Day close) for Group is completed on time.
- Oversee, prepare and review monthly results including posting EOM journals (Prepayments, Accruals, Payroll, Sales, Commissions and any other required Adjustments).
- Required to produce divisional analytical narrative comparing actuals to budgets or forecasts.
- Responsible for ensuing all entity general ledger reconciliations and intercompany transactions are maintained.
- Assist with any forecast preparations required.
- Assist with cashflow preparation
- Deliver all regulatory obligations in an accurate and timely manner
- Business partner with internal stakeholders.
- Manage the finance team including Accountants, AP and AR functions.
About the Person
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Commerce and CA or CPA qualified
- At least 10 years previous experience in a Senior Finance role preferably in Property / Real Estate Industry (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience managing a team providing functional finance support to an organisation.
- Advanced MS Excel Skills
- Microsoft Dynamics GP or Netsuite and Salesforce system knowledge a definite advantage
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational and numeracy skills
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence when dealing with a range of stakeholders
