Job Description
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter who can oversee all facets of financial management, including payroll, financial control, and budgeting. They will support the CFO in executing the strategic objectives of the business.
In line with our expansion, you will actively participate in long-term financial planning, collaborating closely with senior management. Furthermore, there is a clear path for advancement, with the potential to advance to the role of Financial Controller across the Group.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including payroll, financial control, and budgeting.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions such as AP, AR, Journal Entries, Tax Compliance, Payroll, and month-end close for timely and accurate reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Lead technical accounting transactions, including intercompany billing, transfer pricing, provisions, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and work papers to support the month-end close process.
- Collaborate with department heads on budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insights for decision-making.
- Conduct regular financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management.
- Support managers in aligning budgets with business goals and contribute to long-term financial planning.
Qualifications:
- CA or CPA qualification with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a Finance Manager role or similar position with media industry experience desirable but not essential.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Proficient in financial modelling, analysis, and payroll principles.
- Experience with XERO and advanced Excel skills.
- Capacity to effectively supervise and manage a small offshore team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
