We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join a market-leading supply chain management company. This is a part-time permanent role that offers the chance to contribute to the financial success of the organisation in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The opportunity is also suitable for a Senior Accountant, looking to take a step into a Finance Manager position.
Position Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director Australia, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing financial accounting and management reporting requirements. This pivotal role encompasses ensuring outstanding financial stewardship, meticulous accounting practices, efficient working capital and cash flow management, as well as robust budgeting and forecasting processes. Additionally, the Finance Manager plays a key role in delivering comprehensive management and board reporting.
Key Areas of Accountability:
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate monthly and annual financial accounting, along with supporting accounting records.
- Timely and precise closure of the ledger at each month-end in alignment with timing requirements.
- Preparation and thorough review of precise balance sheet reconciliations within 2 days of month-end close.
- Guarantee compliance with compliance-related statutory requirements, including the preparation of annual financial statements within one month of year-end.
- Accurate and timely preparation and filing of all direct and indirect tax compliance requirements, adhering to regulatory and legal frameworks.
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary finance degree.
- Qualified accountant: member of CAANZ or CPA.
Skills & Attributes:
- Profound financial accounting and accounting process skills.
- Experience in optimizing the use of accounting and operational software packages, driving improvements within the organisation.
- Strong staff supervision and development skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Thrives in collaborative small team environments while maintaining accountability for personal and business goals.
