The Role:
This is a site based role with a degree of flexibility where required. As a leader within the finance function, you will closely collaborate with senior management to enhance the company's efficiency and profitability. Your contributions will be instrumental in formulating and monitoring both medium and long-term financial plans.
As a key finance lead, you will:
Partner the Operations and Logistics teams to deliver insightful analysis of performance and help drive a culture of process and cost improvement in these functions. The role will help manage the operational and logistics cost bases, as well as supporting the operations team with capital expenditure submissions and tracking of spend to budget / plan. This is a key role within the finance team that will help support the delivery of accurate and timely reporting of financial results and forecasts for 2 key business departments.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements:
- Support the site leadership team with budget and forecast assessments.
- Manage manufacturing variances and cost variances against plan each month.
- Perform month end and annual/financial year reporting.
- Ensure regular review of Bill of Materials and labour/direct cost routings to ensure accurate standard costs.
- Weekly reporting – Manufacturing.
- Provide assistance & back up around cashflow, budgeting & forecasts, capital, 5-year planning, product costing AP guidance.
- Help drive continuous improvement and cost out initiatives for the operations and logistics team.
- Identify opportunities, draw insights, develop solutions and deliver results.
- Manage Senior Finance Analyst – Logistics to ensure that transport costs are managed effectively and cost optimisation opportunities are identified and implemented.
- Degree Qualified Accountant with CPA / CA status or actively working towards achieving CPA / CA status.
- Extensive experience, preferably in an FMCG environment; however, other relevant experience will be considered.
- Highly advanced Excel skills and a demonstrated sound knowledge of ERP and Financial Systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels within the organisation.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
