Our client is an Australia based Private Equity/ venture capital firm focused on the technology sector. Growing and profitable, they are incredibly active in acquiring the right companies.
With the support of an incredibly experienced and well regarded executive team, this is a rare opportunity to join the firm in a hybrid Finance Manager role, splitting the time between leading the finance function of the group, and involvement in the running of the groups portfolio investments.
It is expected this individual will grow a team around them in the next 12 months. Further, there is a clear succession plan for the right individual, either at a group level or for one of their portfolio companies.
The Challenge
Use your finance skills to grow your career with responsibility for:
- Oversee the results and outputs prepared by the administrator and portfolio company finance teams
- Build relationships with portfolio finance teams and review the portfolio company results
- Manage the month-end reporting timeline and month-end process
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the board and
stakeholders - Working closely with the investment management team to create a clear understanding of the group's cash flow
- Support the finance and tax due diligence processes
- Ongoing development and improvement of reporting templates, tools and processes to ensure consistent and efficient reporting
- Take a lead role in ongoing system enhancements, and manage the operational implementation of the accounting standards
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Ideally, you are currently working at EY, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte or a leading second-tier CA firm such as BDO or Grant Thornton. You will be a Manager/ Senior level CA looking for your first move out into industry. You will have a background in business services or CFO advisory.
- Alternatively, you are a CA and initially began your career in a leading chartered firm, and have since spent 1-3 years working for a leading company, most likely a funds management, tech/SaaS company or a PE portfolio company
- It is a given that you will be a highly ambitious finance up and comer with a proven skill-set developed over the last 6 years'
