About
The Brisbane Golf Club is seeking a Finance Manager – one with the skills and experience to assist the Club achieve its Vision. The individual can run an efficient accounting team, ensure exceptional Member experience and deliver sound financial management and performance.
A key responsibility of this position will be the day to day administration of the Club’s finances which will include all financial reporting, annual audit requirements, statutory reporting requirements, the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements and annual budget.
The successful applicant will be tertiary qualified with a finance/accounting major. Golf club experience is not necessary but is highly desirable as is working Northstar Golf Club management system. The role reports to the CEO.

The Brisbane Golf Club was established in 1896 and is the third oldest Golf Club in Queensland. We are a private Golf Club located in Yeerongpilly just 10 minutes from the Brisbane CBD. We are home to just over 1,600 Members.
Our Club has experienced unprecedented growth in recent years across all departments including membership, hospitality, golf retail and golf operations.

General Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, implementation, participation and supervision of finance and administration functions of the Club.
Develop, deliver and constantly review the Club’s operations plan as it relates to finance and administration.
Accountable to the CEO for ensuring that day-to-day operational activities relating to finance and administration are successfully completed in a way that is not only consistent but also to a level that successfully meets the needs of the Club’s members.
Day-to-day and month-to-month management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable function.
Ensuring the payroll is delivered accurately and in a timely manner.
Compliance for all statutory requirements.
Cash flow management and reporting.
Banking and associated bank reconciliations.
Stock control in conjunction with relevant senior managers across the Club.
Working with the CEO so they can prepare and present information to the Committee in order that it can make appropriate decisions.
Development and tracking of budgets.
Development and adherence to administration and financial policies and procedures.
Delivery of reconciled monthly financial reports including Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss and Operational Reports.
Working with external auditors to produce year end audited financial reports to be presented to members.
New member and renewal period processing.
Salary & Benefits
Salary is $120,000 plus superannuation. An attractive bonus system will also be put in place. Car parking and meals will also be provided.
