The Opportunity
The team currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven CA-qualified accountant with audit experience to continue the improvement of financial reporting systems and quality of financial reporting. The role will also be managing the Corporate Accounting team.
The Finance Manager will be accountable for:
- Monthly financial reporting - Preparation and ownership of the monthly financial reporting process (OneStream) for the CPB group in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analysis and Commentary - Undertake analysis and provide commentary on key balance sheet and profit and loss accounts (including liaising with Business Units, and ownership of explanations) for inclusion in monthly Commentary submission to parent entity.
- Financial statements - Responsibility for preparation/review of financial reports for CPB group entities
- Balance Sheet Control Framework - Assisting with ensuring compliance with the CPB Balance Sheet Control Framework, including review of monthly Corporate balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with review of Business Unit reconciliations across the group.
- Corporate Accounting - Review of month end journals, including group consolidation journals.
- Business Unit support - Provide Business Units with ad-hoc support and assistance when required.
- Audit support - Coordination of annual audit process, responding to queries and providing support on a timely basis.
- CA Qualification
- Accounting or Finance Degree
- Minimum 5 years' experience in either financial and/or management accounting activities (general accounting, financial analysis and reports)
- First or second movers from the Big 4 or Top Tier Accounting firms (with an audit background)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Demonstrable experience of leading and managing teams
- Computer literacy with a sound knowledge of accounting software
- High level of competency in using Microsoft Office tools (esp. Excel), with ability to identify efficiencies and automation
