As an organisation Skretting is continuously growing and as a result, we have an opportunity for a Finance Managerto lead our dedicated Finance Team based in Cambridge, Tasmania.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller this role will be an integral position to the Finance Team as you’ll manage the overall financial administration of the entity, act with a high level of autonomy and manage our energetic transactional finance team. Your key functions will be:
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and the maintenance of the general ledger, including account reconciliations and production of various financial reports
- Ensuring timely and correct financial disclosure for internal and external reporting
- Prepare business analyses reports, identify operational/financial variances, and advise management of possible causes and improvement options
- Monitor debtor and determine liquidity planning with the Treasury Manager when needed
- Prepare (financial) audits, ensure all relevant financial information is available for internal and external Auditors
- Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, the reporting & accounting strategy and with accounting standards, and applicable rules & regulations
- Other project related work as required
About you
- As a self-starter, you’ll be degree qualified with an Australian recognised accounting qualification including current CA/CPA.
- You’ll have demonstrated experience in a similar role, or will have gained commercial experience and be looking for a busy role with a high level of autonomy.
- You’ll demonstrate a dedication to continuous improvement, enjoy working to deadlines, and possess excellent excel skills.
- Your outstanding communication skills will be underpinned by high level analytical and problem-solving capabilities through which you can demonstrate good judgement and financial acumen.
- With excellent people skills, you’ll enjoy working with various stakeholders right across the business and will have previous experience leading a finance team.
Prior to commencement you’ll need to undergo a national police check.
