Our client requires an experienced qualified Financial Manager/Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operation of the business group.
Qualification and Training:
- CA/CPA/NTAA/IPA qualified or with at least 5 years of commercial accounting experience.
- Proven experience in managing the accounting function and finance team of mid-to-large sized organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary.
- Preparation of financial forecasting, budgets and cashflow.
- Collaborate with operational departments providing financial and KPI reporting.
- Maintain and develop internal control systems.
- Oversee reconciliations – bank accounts, credit cards & general ledger.
- Debtor and creditor management.
- Financial reporting, including BAS, GST, PRT and annual tax return obligations, liaise with external taxation accountants and advisors.
- Manage ASIC Corporate compliance.
- Manage and oversea payroll and invoicing.
- Provide support to the Chief Executive Office, Commercial Manager & General Manager.
- Maintain a high preforming cohesive finance team.
- Adopt, promote and maintain the groups behavioural charter/standards.
About You:
Candidates will have strong commercial and management accounting experience and be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills. Sound communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to form and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Myob, Xero and Microsoft Office suite. Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple tasks.
