We really love working here, and we think you will too.As a member of the Risk Fundamentals Chapter, you will work with your Chapter Lead and Risk Business Partner to support effective risk and control management within Bankwest. This is achieved through partnering with stakeholders and subject matter experts Group-wide to provide support and advice on key elements of the Operational Risk Management and Compliance Management Frameworks including issue and incident management, business profile management, risk governance and reporting.Key responsibilities for this role includes:Enable better risk and compliance outcomes, providing guidance and advice to senior leaders by supporting the business to design and implement controls.Lead and coach colleagues to conduct root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements.Coach and mentor colleagues in identifying, initiating and managing actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls when issues and incidents are raised, including issues identified through audits and other external processes.Provide the business with data driven insights on monthly risk management reporting.Drive continuous improvement in processes in the business and in the risk team.Role model and drive proactive risk management culture.Evaluate the risks to the business and appraise the overall effectiveness of the suite of control and keep this evaluation current with the business environment.Provide guidance to stakeholders on the operational of the Group’s Operational Risk Framework.Partner with and advise Line 2 colleagues to ensure operational risk is managed in line with the Groups Operational Risk frameworks.Deliver initiatives and assessments within strict timeframes through effective project management/agile methodology and efficient use of team resources.Assist in regulatory engagement activities such as drafting reportable situation reports to ASIC.We're interested in hearing from people who have:A deep understanding and experience in operational and compliance risks within banking.A strong risk mindset and can contribute to the growth of the business whilst providing strong recommendations for reducing potential risk exposure to enable problem-solving and decision-making for the Leadership TeamStrong reasoning and influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders.Change risk management experience.Being able to independently deliver for large projects and initiatives in diverse environments and interact with all levels of stakeholders.We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce reflecting the customers, businesses and communities we serve.
