Finance Officer
Phillip Island Homes for the Aged Assoc Inc is a not for profit organisation that exists to provide sustainable and dignified aged care for the Phillip Island community.
If you are an experienced Finance Officer in the Aged Care sector, we’d love you to join our team based on beautiful Phillip Island.
This is a newly created role as a result of a recent re-structure so we’re looking for someone who can jump in with flexibility whilst we define the finance department roles.
About the Job:
- 6 month fixed term contract (approx. 3 days a week negotiable) with the possibility of becoming an ongoing permanent position for the right candidate.
- Immediate start
Key Duties:
- Process fortnightly payroll
- Aged care specific financial reporting
- Research and maintain accurate and up to date knowledge of related legislation and regulations including the Aged Care Act
- Perform account reconciliations and audits.
- Compile financial spreadsheets, reports, statements, and other documents, as needed.
- EBA interpretation
- Process payables and receivables in the absence of other finance team members
About You:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Finance Officer/bookkeeping position
- Experience in finance in the aged care or health sector is highly desirable
- Proficient in the use of Xero
- Mathematically and analytically minded and demonstrate accuracy in your work
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- Work well in a team environment
- The successful applicant must pass a Police Check
