Job description: Finance Officer - Accounts Payable Located at Sydney's Iconic - Taronga Zoo! Ongoing, Full time position TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 2, annual package $84,034 (includes base salary $74,803 + 11% superannuation) Taronga Zoo Sydney is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated AP Finance Officer to join our Finance team! About the Role…This role will support Taronga's Corporate Services and Governance by undertaking Accounts Payable tasks. You will carry out supplier payment function in Accounts Payable module in S4 Hana Cloud (ERP system). The role will involve performing the invoice receipting function in S4, planning, preparing, and executing the weekly supplier payment run. Reconciliation of supplier statements and liaising with suppliers as required. This role requires a high degree of problem-solving skills and attention to detail as the Finance Officer is required to attend to and resolve Accounts Payable queries in a timely and professional manner. Any unresolved issues need to be escalated accordingly. The Finance Officer role requires an in-depth knowledge of basic accounting principles and the ability to quickly adapt to changes in a highly dynamic cloud-based ERP system. This role also requires high level numeracy skills as reconciliation of supplier accounts is a key task in ensuring supplier invoices are processed and paid correctly and within company payment terms. Key Accountabilities… Undertake all Finance operations for Accounts Payable. Complete accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting reports. Prepare weekly aged creditor report with commentary on overdue invoices. Process international supplier invoices and payments. Responsible for processing statutory payments to Australian Taxation Office, Revenue NSW, Superannuation and Employee deductions. Ensure all discrepancies related to Accounts Payable are investigated and reported immediately to the Accountant and Finance Manager. Ensure all Accounts Payable ledgers and related clearing accounts reconciled in a timely manner for month-end and year-end reporting. About You… We are looking for candidates that have: Qualification in accounting or finance discipline or equivalent combination of knowledge skills and experience Knowledge of Public Sector Finance and Payable requirements. Experience in using accounting systems.
