About the opportunity
The Finance Officer manages the day-to-day financial operations of the College and assists the Business Manager in preparation of accounts for reporting to the College Council.
Specifically, the Finance Officer is responsible for all financial accounting entries, preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and preparation of budget working schedules and the draft budget.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Appropriate qualifications in accounting or similar.
- Good financial acumen.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software (Xero) and MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
- Queensland blue card or the ability to obtain one.
The following will be highly regarded:
- Work experience in the education sector, ideally with experience in a residential college.
- Completed at least three years of study towards an undergraduate degree.
