The Accounts Payable team, within Shared Services Finance, has a permanent vacancy as a Finance Officer and we are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic team player to join our team.
The Accounts Payable team are experts in their field and sit within the Finance Operations area of Finance Shared Services. The Finance Operations area provides accounts payable, banking operations, and business intelligence functions for the ACT Government. With a strong customer focus, the team must work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to deliver integrated finance service operations on behalf of the Territory.
In this role you will be responsible to undertake a range of support services and processing functions in a Finance Operations environment. We are looking for a someone who is skilled and experienced in processing high volumes of data, can think of their feet, with great interpersonal and communication skills and can work cooperatively within a team environment.
The Accounts Payable work area is a rewarding and busy function, and to set you apart from other candidates’, exceptional time management skills is a must! In this role you will be given thorough ‘on the ground’ training.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: To be successful in this role you should have a strong understanding of the work practices and procedures that underpin a successful finance operations environment. Previous experience in a finance operations or processing environment would be highly regarded.
Notes: This role is currently vacant, and we are looking to fill immediately. There is one possible available with the possibility of second. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
