About the role:
The role is Casual offering 15hrs per week with the opportunity to increase over time. The role of Finance Officer is responsible for assisting the Business Manager by undertaking the technical elements of the role including Accounts Receivable.
Your Responsibilities:
- Providing financial and administrative support to the finance team whilst ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
- Preparation of billing and invoicing for customers
- Receipting incoming funds for AR and follow up on outstanding debts.
- Providing back up for other team members whilst on leave.
- Ad-hoc accounting and administration duties as required.
- Commit to the NQ Quality Care Policies and Procedures including incident reporting and risk management.
- Commit to the NQ Quality Care Quality Management System including identifying and reporting opportunities for improvement.
- Timely bill and reconcile debtor accounts, accounts receivable and debt collection functions and bank reconciliation to ensure income is received on time.
- Prepare NDIS funding claims within required timelines and resolve rejected claims and errors
- Follow up with relevant Funders in an appropriate manner ensuring payment of invoices are made within established time limits.
- Establish and maintain relationships with New and Existing NDIS Plan Managers and Clients.
The applicants must hold the below essential criteria:
- Certificate III or IV in Business. Finance Related discipline.
- Relevant working experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance Administration and generating service delivery invoices to Funding Providers- NDIS Billing preferred.
- NDIS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening ID.
- Strong Customer Service focus with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilise community data base applications with experience using office 365 and Xero.
- Access to PRODA account desirable
- Strong honest work ethic
- Applicants are required to possess a sharp attention to detail and demonstrate meticulousness
- Sound knowledge in accounting, payroll, and tax
