Due to continued growth, an excellent opportunity exists for an Bookkeeper and Administrator to join our team. We are a boutique, vibrant and progressive accounting firm based in Brisbane City. We have a reputation for delivering quality work and outstanding service to clients. We started our practice from a small office 15 years ago and now based on Queen Street, Brisbane City.
We provide assistance with bookkeeping, taxation, financial statements, SMSF accounting, software training, payroll, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, management reports, GST completion & lodgment of activity statements for a variety of clients and industries.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to senior accountants
- Providing bookkeeping to clients (no site visits)
- Preparation and collation of documents
- Database management
- New client onboarding
- Scheduling of meetings
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working with a portfolio of clients from a variety of industries
- Undertaking full function bookkeeping including AP and AR
- Reconciliations
- Assisting in preparation of BAS and IAS
- Set up and processing of payroll
- Reception duties/Telephone calls/Scanning/Mailing
- Liaison with ATO and ASIC with a number of queries
Skills and experience
The Successful Applicant is required to be:
- 1.5 + years bookkeeping experience
- Ability to hit deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional attention to deal
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to learn, show initiative and be a positive "team player"
About You
Ideally you will have experience working in a public practice firm with the ability to undertake a combined role. With a focus on working directly with our clientele. Candidates with non-public practice experience can also apply. You must be able to work from Devonshire Accountants office located in Brisbane City.
