We are seeking a candidate who can play a pivotal role in the Grants Function of a Federal Government Agency on the Gold Coast. The Grants function is responsible for supporting business areas to undertake grant activities in accordance with the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines and relevant policies and legislation.The position is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency’s objectives.The APS6 Grants will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It is required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division/Agency.Candidates *MUST* be an Australian citizen to applyDuties:
- Providing complex grants policy advice, in accordance with relevant Commonwealth and NDIA policies and legislation.
- Providing business partnering support across Agency business areas undertaking grants.
- Maintaining the grants template suite, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
- Preparing grants reports and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement within the Grants function.
- Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability, high level understanding and knowledge of disability, and its impact on individuals.
- Experience in grant administration or grant policy advice.
- Previous experience coordinating a team
- Previous responsibility providing expertise and technical knowledge, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
