Finance Officer - 2 Roles

About You

We are currently looking for two experienced Finance Officers to join our team. Working in a small team, this is a great opportunity for a seasoned Finance Officer who has experience in all aspects of bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Our Finance team are focused on delivering timely and accurate financial information to the organisation, so we can make better decisions. A customer centric focus is critical to the success of our team.

About the role

This role plays an important part in the Finance area and will undertake work across multiple teams to ensure the smooth delivery of financial services to Council stakeholders, including:

  • Assisting the accounting team in various tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Working with the Accounts Payable and Revenue teams.
  • Supporting Store finance operations including financial analysis and expense management and budgeting for store-related expenses.
  • Collaborating with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll.

The role will provide the opportunity to rotate through the different areas and functions of the Finance team.

To succeed you will need a strong attention to detail and the ability to did a little deeper when things don't seem right. The right person for this role will need to be able to juggle priorities and deadlines, have experience in a similar role and a work ethic that is focused on getting the work done. With the right aptitude for learning, this is a role in which you will be able to expand on your current experience.
