This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team in a large professional services organisation, working closely with a wide range of business and IT stakeholders, operational team members both on and offshore. We are open to candidates in Sydney, and offer excellent flexible working arrangements.
What will your typical day look like?
In this role you will collaborate with business stakeholders, as well as local and global project team members to understand, analyse, communicate, and validate the requirements for changes to business systems, processes, and reporting. Preparation of test scripts, cases, and the conducting of testing. Documentation of business support processes. You will be involved in enhancements to FP&A including upgrading of current systems and processes and reporting.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance System Tester with some knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and functionality of our Finance Systems through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document Finance System requirements
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements
- Execute test cases to identify and report any defects or issues in the Finance Systems
- Conduct end-to-end testing of Finance System processes, including data validation and integration testing
- Work closely with the development team to resolve any identified issues and retest the solutions
- Perform regression testing to ensure that system changes do not impact existing functionality
- Document and communicate test results, including defect tracking and resolution
- Provide support to end-users during user acceptance testing and assist in resolving any issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Finance System testing

Our internal Finance team is positioned to support our business growth through smart financial insights, highly skilled financial professionals who are capable of navigating the financial systems and big data. Our team uses our understanding of the business and best accounting practices in evaluating changes to our ERP system that transforms the value-add nature of our reporting.

You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
- 3-5 years experience as a Finance System Tester, with some exposure to SAP or similar ERP system
- Understanding of finance processes and systems
- Familiarity with SAP and Cognos reporting tools is desirable
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meticulously test and validate data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
