At Basketball Australia (BA) it is our vision that basketball will be the sport of choice for Australian families in the 21st century. As the governing body of basketball in Australia, we are a not-for-profit business who work collaboratively to grow the sport with our basketball Members, the eight State & Territory Basketball associations.

WHAT IS THE ROLE
As we continue to grow our sport and our organisation, BA is seeking to engage an organised and customer focussed Finance/Procurement Officer to add to our Finance Team.
This role will work collaboratively and broadly across the business to support compliant and efficient purchasing activities, predominately through the efficient use of the purchase order and payment system. The Officer will transact systems within established standards, assist with other general finance duties including processing of invoices, data input, report generation, respond to customer/supplier queries and providing training to others.

This is a full time role, based in our office in Melbourne at the State Basketball Centre, Wantirna. We provide flexibility in working hybrid arrangements where it is approved.

WHO ARE YOU
Experience required:
- Relevant qualification in relation to finance or procurement.
- Experience in using Xero and ProSpend is preferred.
- Previous experience in procurement and purchasing desirable.
- Payroll processing experience is preferred.
- Experience in a similar role preferably in sport and/or not for profit environment.
You will also possess:
- Demonstrated knowledge in procurement
- A Good communicator with a customer focussed approach
- Analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
- Excellent administrative capability to manage records, spreadsheets and reports.
- Ability to self manage workloads to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Solution focussed.
- Problem solver who can devise practical solutions.
