Form of workAn opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a Funds Management organisation in the Melbourne CBD. The role is initially as a 6-month contract and requires someone to start work immediately.
In the beginning phases of this year the business has gone through a period of growth through multiple acquisitions, so high performers will be considered for extension or looked at for alternative opportunities throughout the business once the contract is complete.
The Role
As Financial Accountant you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager, and you will be expected to ease the work load on the existing team members by taking responsibility for some the advanced financial duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with month and year end general ledger reconciliations
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Any other general accounting and administration tasks as required
- Assisting with accounts payable/receivable when required
- Liaise with business stakeholders at all levels as required
- Ability to lead and champion projects
You must be a highly motivated CA/CPA Accounting professional who is available to start immediately – individuals who have to work a notice period will not be considered for this role. This individual has to demonstrate experience working on financials from a previous commercial firm or Public Practice. You will be extremely adaptable and have capability to work on multiple tasks whilst meeting tight deadlines. Previous experience working with SAP would be of an advantage but not essential.
