We are one of Australia’s largest and most experienced carbon farming project developers. This includes more than 160 projects with farmers, plantation managers, agribusiness, and Indigenous groups on carbon farming projects.
Climate Friendly has delivered over 20Mt in carbon abatement as at the end of 2020. Our immediate mission is to establish partnerships, by 2025, that will store or reduce 150Mt of CO2-e, while repairing nature and supporting reconciliation. The role
As Financial Accountant you will provide financial and accounting assistance to various areas of finance, with a focus on accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing vendors, purchase orders, vendor invoices, weekly payments and enquiries.
- Managing the issuance of client invoices
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on finance processes, providing updates and guidance as required
- Managing monthly payroll and staff expense claims.
- Managing corporate credit cards, including new applications, terminations and monthly credit card reconciliations, top-ups and card enquiries.
- Supporting month-end bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Providing information and data to support our Financial Controller with reporting and budget tracking.
About you
- Relevant tertiary level qualifications
- Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using Business Central or similar accounting software.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
