Due to multiple ongoing initiatives, APCD has a great opportunity open for a talented Assistant Accountant.
About the role
- Assisting with financial statement preparation.
- Support month-end activities, including accrual true up, journal entries in MYOB.
- Key GL accounts reconciliations.
- Maintain and report employment related headcount and employment cost.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as requested by management.
- Liaise with insurance agent on Work Cover renewal.
- Oversee BAS & Payroll tax reporting.
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team.
- Support ad hoc initiatives from management.
- Monthly data analysis and reporting
- Assist monthly management pack preparation and review.
What we are looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance.
- 2+ years' in a similar role before
- Good Knowledge of MYOB.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Self-motivated with an initiative to problem solving.
- Diligent with a keen attention to details.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Demonstrable ability to take initiative and meet deadlines.
- Studying towards (CPA or CA) is advantageous.
