The opportunity to join our team 

Great opportunity to join our Rhombus Advisory Business and work with a supportive Senior Manager Finance and Revenue. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for a broad range of critical tasks in Finance and Revenue to ensure statutory and regulatory obligations are met. In this role you will build relationships and manage information flows with internal and external stakeholders including the external accounting partner to ensure Rhombus Advisory is run efficiently and is well informed.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Operate Finance systems including an outsourced SaaS Ledger
  • Assist the Senior Manager of Finance and Revenue to ensure all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations are met. This includes assisting with audit, AFSL and tax obligations
  • Assist with the delivery of revenue administration services, incl licensee fund revenue processing ensuring timely and accurate revenue payments to advisers and licensees
  • Resolve revenue related queries, deliver revenue analysis and timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist with execution of the outsourced payroll
  • Be responsible for helping monitor the day-to-day financial performance of the business in line with agreed targets
  • Assist with processes for financial planning and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control, as well as reporting on costs, margins and productivity
  • Assist with reporting on financial risks and opportunities for the business
  • Help undertake analysis leading to strategic insights for the business. This includes input into evaluation of strategic initiatives, ensuring the financial impacts are captured in forecasts and 3 Year Plans on an ongoing basis

What you will bring  

  • Solid accounting experience ideally within financial services
  • Ability to build relationship at all levels
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Initiative and sound problem solving skills
  • Myob experience highly regarded
  • Accounting qualification or working towards an Accounting qualification

This position is a role within the newly established Rhombus Advisory business. We anticipate that Rhombus Advisory will separate from Insignia Financial (IFL) to become a stand-alone business around July 2024. The successful candidate will transfer their employment to Rhombus Advisory when IFL sells the majority share of its ownership of Rhombus Advisory (precise date will be confirmed in due course) and will be issued relevant entity transfer documentation upon appointment.​​​​​​​
